IETM is a membership network focusing on contemporary performing arts. “Spontaneously declared” as “Informal European Theatre Meeting” in 1981, now it is called “International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts” while keeping the abbreviation “IETM.” In addition to the biannual Plenary Meetings in European cities, it has been organizing Asia Satellite Meetings in Singapore (2005), Beijing and Shanghai (2006), Seoul (2007), Tokyo (2008), Jakarta (2010) and Yokohama (2011).
